TANZANIA’s Ambassador to Belgium Diodorus Kamala is among 3,049 graduates who will be conferred with various degrees in the 11th Graduation ceremony of Mzumbe university in Morogoro tomorrow.
The University’s Director of Communications, Ms Rainfrida Ngatunga said in a press statement that the graduation will be preceded by the 12th Convocation meeting today.
“Of all these graduates 716 will get certificates, 94 diplomas, 1143 Bachelor degrees,1515 will be conferred with Master Degrees while two including Ambassador Kamala will be conferred with doctorate degree,” she said.
According to the director, Ambassador Kamala did a study on Intra-regional Trade of Tanzania in East African Community while Mr Rutasha Fulgence Dadi who will also be conferred a doctoral degree alongside Mr Kamala did a study on Seeking Health Under Pluralistic Medical System: Determinants of Resort Patterns Among People Living with HIV/AIDS in Bagamoyo.
She said the Mzumbe Dar es Salaam College will hold its graduation next week on Friday where 1019 graduates will be conferred with Master Degrees.
“In this year’s graduation ceremony there will be 1170 male and 1279 female graduates,” she said, adding that preparations for the important event was ready.
The last decade has seen the Mzumbe University contributing dearly in Education Sector in Tanzania. It has campuses/colleges in Mbeya and Dar es Salaam Regions.
“The university vision is to be a centre of academic excellence in management science for knowledge acquisition and dissemination of knowledge and skills through training, research, technical and professional service,” Ms Ngatunga said.
